Whole Milk and Buttermilk Remedy

Milk is a white liquid produced by the mammary glands of mammals. It is the primary source of nutrition for infant mammals (including humans who breastfeed) before they are able to digest other types of food. Early-lactation milk contains colostrum, which carries the mother's antibodies to its young and can reduce the risk of many diseases. Cow's milk has long been associated with good health, making it one of the most consumed beverages throughout the United States and Europe.

Buttermilk is the milky liquid that is left over after churning butter from cow's milk. It is low in fat and contains most of the protein found originally in the cow's milk. Buttermilk ferments into a thick, tangy cream.  The term Buttermilk also refers to a range of fermented milk drinks common in warm climates where fresh milk sours quickly. This fermented cow's milk is known as Cultured Buttermilk. Buttermilk should be stored in a fridge.

Whole Milk and Buttermilk - Natural remedy for Sunburn: Make a compress of whole milk (or buttermilk) and apply to the burned (sunburn) area for 20-minutes. Repeat every 2-4 hours. Wash the milk off so that you do not smell sour. The fat content of the milk is soothing.
