As an astringent and a uterine stimulant, shepherd's purse helps to stabilize hormone function and reduce menstrual flow. For the best results, drink half a cup of the tea at intervals of an hour or as needed. However it is important to note that if it is taken on an empty stomach, it will give the utmost benefits. Make the tea by infusing one teaspoon of dried shepherd’s purse in one cup of boiling water for 15-minutes. Strain and drink.
