Gram Flour Paste

Gram Flour Paste: Also known as besan, it is used in gravies, batters, etc. When made into a paste with water or yogurt, it is used popularly as a face cleanser in the Indian subcontinent. Also it is commonly used as a replacement for egg in vegetarian cooking. Chila, a very popular fast food and snack is made from gram flour batter.


Gram Flour Paste - Home remedy for Excessive Facial Hair:  Another effective hair removal method is the use of gram flour paste. A mixture of gram flour, turmeric, and lemon juice or fresh cream can be applied to the skin. Once the paste has dried, a washcloth dipped in warm water can be used to rub it off in circular motions. Gram flour  is a pulse flour made from ground chickpeas known in a number of Asian countries as gram. Available from most supermarkets.
