Basil - Herbal remedy for Asthma: Add 25 millilitres of honey to 40 millilitres of fresh basil leaves juice and take it twice daily. Take everyday or during an attack as this helps to prevent attacks.

Basil - Herbal remedy for Angina: Basil leaves are a cure for angina. Chew a few leaves every morning or crush some basil leaves, add water and drink.

Basil – Herbal remedy for Bee Sting:  Basil is an effective bee sting remedy. Crush fresh basil leaves and apply them directly on the bee sting.

Basil – Herbal remedy for Body Rash: Place a few basil leaves on your skin to relieve itchiness.

Basil - Herbal remedy for Fainting:  Add 3 tablespoons of fresh basil to 8 ounces of boiling water. Allow this mixture to infuse for 15-20 minutes. Drink this mixture several times a day if you are suffering from fainting spells. This will help prevent further fainting.

Basil – Herbal remedy for Food Poisoning:  Prepare a mixture by adding 2-3 tablespoons of basil leaf extract in half a cup of curd. Sprinkle a little amount of salt and black pepper powder in it. Taking this mixture 3-4 times a day reduces the symptoms of food poisoning.

Basil – Herbal remedy for Heat Stroke: Blend enough basil leaves to obtain half a cup of juice, add a quarter teaspoon of sugar and drink it twice daily. The juice can also be applied on the skin as a sunscreen.

Basil – Herbal remedy for Kidney Stones: Basil tea can be taken throughout the day for overall kidney health. If you have kidney stones, try taking one teaspoon of raw honey with one teaspoon of basil juice daily for up to six months.

Basil – Herbal remedy for Menstrual Cramps: Basil possesses a pain killing component that can relieve cramps. You can either use it as a spice when cooking or infuse it to make a tea. Add two tablespoons of basil leaves to one pint of boiling water. Cover tightly and let it cool down. Drink  one cup of the basil tea four times daily.

Basil - Herbal remedy for Rashes: Place a few fresh basil leaves on your skin to help get rid of itching.

Basil – Herbal remedy for Vaginal Yeast Infection: Infuse one teaspoon of chopped basil in three cups of boiling water for 30 minutes. Strain and drink twice a day.

Basil - Herbal remedy for Yellow Fever: Infuse fresh basil leaves in water, strain and drink once a day.
