Pimples

Pimples: Pimples are small skin lesions or inflammations of the skin. They occur when the sebaceous glands (oil glands) are infected with bacteria, swell up and then fill up with pus. Pimples are also known as spots or zits.

The most vulnerable parts of the body are the face, back, chest and shoulders. Pimples can also be signs of acne, especially when a breakout occurs.

See your doctor if you cannot control your spots, pimples or acne with over-the-counter medication or if it is causing you distress and making you feel unhappy.
