Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Allergies: Turmeric is an Indian herb with natural anti-inflammatory properties. It is an excellent remedy for those who suffer from fatigue coupled with allergies. Fresh turmeric looks like ginger and is easily available in Asian stores. Ground turmeric is as effective as fresh turmeric. Crush a one inch piece of fresh turmeric and boil with two cups of water, use as often as possible or add one teaspoon of ground turmeric powder in a glass of warm milk or water and drink.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Alzheimer’s Disease: Turmeric is one of  the best herbal remedy for Alzheimer. Indians use turmeric in their daily diet and India has very few cases of Alzheimer. A one inch piece of fresh turmeric can be crushed and boiled in milk, strained and taken when it has cooled down. One teaspoonful of ground turmeric can also be stirred in a glass of warm milk with one teaspoonful of honey and taken before bedtime.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Appendicitis: Turmeric is beneficial in treating pain and inflammation associated with appendicitis. If you have undergone or intend to undergo surgery for appendicitis, avoid using this herbal remedy as it can cause bleeding. 400-500 milligrams of turmeric should be taken three times a day. Fresh turmeric can be grated and boiled in one glass of milk or turmeric powder can be diluted in warm milk.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Arthritis: Turmeric is beneficial in treating arthritis as it contains a substance known as NF-KB which is responsible for eliminating genes causing arthritis. You should take 400-600 milligrams. It can be taken by grating fresh turmeric and mixing it in warm milk or mixing powdered turmeric in warm milk with a little honey.  The mixture can be taken three times daily.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Asthma: Add one teaspoon of grated fresh turmeric or turmeric powder to a glass of warm milk and drink twice daily.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Bronchitis: Add half a teaspoon of ground fresh turmeric or turmeric powder to a glass of milk and drink this three times a day. This natural remedy is very good for children suffering from bronchitis. it is more effective when taken on an empty stomach.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Colds: Boil a quarter teaspoon of crushed fresh turmeric or turmeric powder in one cup of milk. Add honey and drink twice a day. Fresh turmeric is available in Indian health stores.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Conjunctivitis: Put two teaspoons of turmeric powder in warm water. Soak a clean cloth in it and apply to the eyes.

Turmeric – Herbal remedy for E.Coli: Add half a teaspoon of turmeric in a glass of warm milk with a little honey. Take twice daily.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Fibromyalgia:  Turmeric helps to reduce pain and inflammation. Take 400-500 milligrams three times daily. Mix turmeric powder in a glass of warm milk.

Turmeric – Herbal remedy for Flu (Influenza):  Turmeric is good for calming a sore throat. To use turmeric as a home remedy, mix a cup of hot water with a teaspoon of turmeric and a half of teaspoon of salt. Gargle with this remedy twice a day. To relieve fever and body aches associated with cold and flu, drink half a teaspoon of turmeric mixed with a cup of hot milk and one teaspoonful of honey.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Fungal Infection:  Prepare a paste by mixing turmeric powder and water. Apply this paste on the affected area for some time until it dries. Wash it off with water.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Gallstones: Mix one teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of skimmed milk, add some honey and drink twice daily.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Gonorrhea:  Mix one teaspoon of turmeric in a glass of warm water or skimmed milk, take early in the morning before breakfast and before bedtime.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Gout: Turmeric contains curcuma, a compound which is both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It is an effective remedy for gout.

One teaspoon of turmeric powder mixed in a glass of warm skimmed milk and some honey makes a refreshing drink.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Hepatitis: Turmeric is a potent anti-inflammatory. Take half a teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of warm skimmed milk twice daily.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Jaundice: Add a tablespoon of turmeric powder to a glass of water. Drink three times daily.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Pain: Turmeric can treat all types of pain including headache. Mix one teaspoon of turmeric in a glass of water or warm skimmed milk. Drink a glass whenever you have pain such as headache .

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Psoriasis: Turmeric reduces psoriasis flares. Use turmeric in your meats and eat more curry.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Scalding: Turmeric powder can be used as a skin poultice to reduce swelling. Mix together two equal parts turmeric and one part salt and apply on the swollen areas of your body.

Mix a teaspoon of turmeric powder with a little water into a paste and apply paste on affected area. Mix one teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of warm skimmed milk or water and drink.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Sore Throat: Turmeric is good for calming a sore throat. To use turmeric as a home remedy, mix a cup of hot water with a teaspoon of turmeric and a half teaspoon of salt. Gargle with this twice a day. If you cannot handle the taste, mix half a teaspoon of turmeric with a cup of hot milk and drink.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Stroke: Turmeric is also very helpful as it prevents the formation of blood clots. Add a teaspoon of turmeric powder in hot milk with some honey and drink twice a day.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Mouth Ulcers: Mix a pinch of turmeric powder to one teaspoon of glycerin and apply on the ulcers.

Turmeric - Herbal remedy for Whiplash: Mix one teaspoon of ground turmeric with water into a paste.  Apply paste on the neck. Mix one teaspoon of ground turmeric in a warm glass of milk, add a teaspoon of honey and drink twice daily.
