S-adenosyl-L-methionine – Vitamins for Bipolar Disorder: S-adenosyl L-methionine is commonly called SAME and may be useful if you have bipolar disorder. It supports brain function and helps to alleviate depression. SAME is a chemical naturally found in the body but it can also be made in laboratory. It has many potential benefits but be cautious. Consult your doctor before taking one tablet of 200 milligrams twice daily for two weeks.
Health Warning: Use only if do not have other medical conditions apart from bipolar disorder.  Side effects include dizziness, heart palpitations, nausea, memory and concentration problems and skin redness. Use caution with this supplement because SAME may trigger mania in some people.
