Birthroot - Herbal remedy for Bleeding: The roots of birthroot are used to treat hemorrhage, excessive menstrual bleeding and bowel problems. The plant has anti-inflammatory and anti-hemorrhagic properties. Birthroot is useful for internal bleeding from fibroids, menopausal bleeding and uterine prolapse.  Infuse 1 teaspoon of root in 1 cup hot water or milk. Strain and drink either hot or cold just before going to bed. Take 1-2 cups a day. If you are using the tincture take a quarter to a half teaspoon at a time in a cup of warm water or milk.
