Vitamin D

Vitamin D helps your body absorb calcium. Calcium is one of the main building blocks of bone. A lack of vitamin D can lead to bone diseases such as osteoporosis or rickets. Vitamin D also has a role in your nerve, muscle, and immune systems.

Vitamin D: You can get vitamin D in three ways: through your skin, from your diet, and from supplements. Your body forms vitamin D naturally after exposure to sunlight. Vitamin D-rich foods include egg yolks, salmon, sardines, herring and fresh tuna and liver. Some milk and cereals have added vitamin D.

Vitamin D - Vitamins for Autism: 4000 milligrams per day.

Vitamin D - Vitamins for Back Pain: Chronic muscle pain can be a symptom of vitamin D deficiency. According to a 2005 report in the British Medical Journal treatment with vitamin D supplements may lead to improvement in back pain for people with deficiency in vitamin D.
An essential nutrient available in certain foods (such as fortified milk and fish with small bones) and tea, vitamin D is produced naturally by the body during exposure to the sun's ultraviolet rays. But since it is difficult to obtain your recommended daily intake of Vitamin D solely through dietary sources and sun exposure, medical experts recommend increasing your vitamin D levels by taking a dietary supplement. The recommended dose is 1000 IU of Vitamin D3 once daily.

Vitamin D – Vitamins for Flu (Influenza): There is some evidence suggesting that people with higher levels of vitamin D and vitamin C may have a reduced risk of catching the common cold. Vitamin D is included in most multivitamins, usually in strengths from 50-100 international units (IU). It can be found as softgels, capsules, tablets, and liquids. The new  recommended daily allowance (RDA) is 600 IU for those 1-70 years of age and pregnant or breastfeeding women and 800 IU for those over 71 years of age.

Vitamin D - Vitamins for Urinary Incontinence: Vitamin D promotes calcium intake and good bone health. It can also reduce the risk of incontinence. Take 600 IU of vitamin D daily.

Vitamin D - Vitamins for Rickets: Adequate intake of vitamin D and calcium is very essential for recovery. Vitamin D can be given in supplement form from 1,000-4,000 I.U. per day for 6-12 weeks, depending on the severity of the disease.
