Marshmallow Root - Herbal remedy for Cough:  Drink marshmallow root tea to sooth the throat and reduce a dry cough.

Marshmallow Root - Herbal remedy for Hernia:  Marshmallow contains a slippery substance that forms a protective layer on the lining of the esophagus and stomach. It also lowers production of stomach acid. A tea made from marshmallow root can be taken to alleviate symptoms associated with hiatal hernia.

Marshmallow Root - Herbal remedy for Mastitis: Marshmallow root soothes tender tissues and sore nipples, opens clogged ducts and tubes and diminishes the pain of engorged, inflamed breasts. Infuse two ounces of dried marshmallow root overnight in half a gallon of hot water. The texture of the finished brew should be slippery and slimy. Heat as needed, pouring the warm liquid into a sink or basin and soak your sore and aching breasts.
