Wild Yam - Herbal  remedy for Cysts: Wild yam contains an active ingredient which accelerates the production of progesterone in women’s bodies. Apply the herbal cream to the skin. Continuous use for approximately three months shows good results. Wild yam cream, wild yam gel and wild yam lotion are made with the wild yam herb and can be found in drugstores or online.
Health Warning: Wild yam is not recommended for children.

Wild Yam - Herbal  remedy for Gallstones: Wild yam increases bile flow and lessens the pain of gallstones. Like rosemary, it is an anti-spasmodic herb. Suggested dosage: tincture - spray: 3-6 pumps three times daily. extract: half a teaspoon 3 times daily.

Wild Yam - Herbal  remedy for Pain: Wild yam is effective for chronic pain. Wild yam has been used to treat neuralgia, rheumatism, colic, gallbladder problems, irritable bowel syndrome and premenstrual syndrome. Wild yam is available as liquid extract and as a powder. The powdered form may be purchased in capsules. The fluid extract can be made into tea. This herb relaxes spasms, stimulates bile flow and dilates blood vessels. Properties: diuretic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, used internally for arthritis, colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulitis, and gall bladder complaints.
