Breast Pain

Breast Pain:  Breast pain is any pain or discomfort in the breast. There are many possible causes for it such as hormone level changes. Many women have breast tenderness and pain with monthly periods. However, breast pain can occur at any time. This is most common in women 30 - 50 years of age.

It may occur in only one breast and is a sharp, burning pain that occurs in one area of the breast. The pain can sometimes be caused by a cyst or fibroadenoma. If the cause of breast pain can be found, treating the cause may relieve the pain.

Women with a persisting breast pain should always seek professional medical advice.
