It is important not to confuse Oil of Oregano or Oregano Oil with common oregano that is used as a spice for cooking. Oil of Oregano can be purchased as either a liquid, as capsules or as tablets. 


Oregano Oil – Herbal remedy for Genital Herpes: Oregano oil (Oil of Oregano) contains four main groups of chemicals that contribute to its potent healing powers. Phenols such as carvacrol and thymol act as antiseptics and antioxidants. Terpenes which include pinene and terpinene have antiseptic, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and anesthetic properties. Linalool and bonreol add to the antiviral and antiseptic qualities.
Oil of Oregano can be purchased as either a liquid, as capsules and tablets. In all forms, it is important to verify that the oil is derived from the proper potent oregano plant, and that the carvacrol concentration is at least 70%.  Always read the product's instruction for dosages.

Oregano Oil – Herbal remedy for Ingrown Toenails: Mix one tablespoon of oregano oil (Oil of Oregano) with one tablespoon of olive oil and apply to the ingrown toenail regularly. Oil of Oregano/ Oregano Oil can be purchased as either a liquid, as capsules and tablets. In all forms, it is important to verify that the oil is derived from the proper potent oregano plant, and that the carvacrol concentration is at least 70%.

Oregano Oil - Herbal remedy for Psoriasis: Oregano oil (Oil of Oregano) possesses anti-microbial and ant-oxidant properties which may help psoriasis. Use oregano oil topically, especially on the scalp. You can also put one drop under the tongue to ingest internally. It is recommended that you mix oregano oil with olive oil.

Oregano Oil – Herbal remedy for Vaginal Yeast Infection: Add ten drops of oregano oil (Oil of Oregano) in a glass of warm water and take twice daily. Oil of Oregano/ Oregano Oil can be purchased as either a liquid, as capsules and as tablets. In all forms, it is important to verify that the oil is derived from the proper potent oregano plant, and that the carvacrol concentration is at least 70%.
