Health Warning: Avoid During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding. In the case of gallstones, use Chicory only after consultation with your doctor. In rare cases, there may be allergic skin reactions.


Chicory - Herbal remedy for Jaundice: Infuse all parts of the chicory plant in a litre of water. You will obtain about three glasses of infusion. Drink one glass, then after 30 minutes drink a second glass, and then fifteen minutes later finish everything. Take once daily.

Chicory Root - Herbal remedy for Bronchitis: Use the powder of dry chicory root mixed in honey. When taken thrice daily, this is one of the most effective chronic bronchitis home remedies.

Chicory Root - Herbal remedy for Flushing:  Infuse 1 teaspoonful of the dried herb in a cup of boiling water for seven minutes. Then strain and cool. A cup of chicory root tea taken before breakfast can also help to flush fat from the body.
