Green Chickpeas, Green Chanas, Gram - Home remedy for Appendicitis: Consuming a bowl of boiled green chickpeas morning and evening can treat appendicitis. Rinse dried chickpeas and soak overnight in cold water.  Drain and boil in a little salt.  Drinking the water in which the chickpeas were soaked is also beneficial in treating appendicitis. Available from Asian and Arab shops.
