Health Warning: Avoid if there is Ileus. This is the medical term for this lack of movement somewhere in the intestines that leads to a buildup and potential blockage of food material. An ileus can lead to an intestinal obstruction. This means no food material, gas, or liquids can get through. It can occur as a side effect after surgery.


Flaxseed - Vitamins for Acne: Flaxseed has a high amount of Omega 3 fatty acids and fibre which is helpful in reducing the inflammation associated with acne. Flaxseed tablets can be used on a regular basis by those who tend to develop acne.

Flaxseed - Vitamins for Cholesterol:  Flaxseed contains alpha linoleic acid similar to the omega-3 fatty acid that is found in certain varieties of cold water fish, like salmon. Flaxseed supplements have been found to lower LDL cholesterol. Ground flaxseed also can be sprinkled over cereals.
