Psyllium - Herbal remedy for Hemorrhoids: Since constipation worsens hemorrhoid problems, psyllium can be used to help soften stool and thus relieve swelling and irritation. Take two tablespoons of Psyllium seeds or one teaspoon of Psyllium husks 2-3 times per day mixed with a liquid such as water or juice.

Psyllium - Herbal remedy for Piles: Psyllium is an ideal herbal laxative. Bowel movement and excretion is triggered by the presence of the bloated psyllium seeds in the large intestines. The soluble fibre present in the seeds also softens the stool. For these reasons, patients suffering from haemorrhoids are given this herbal laxative to prevent constipation. Hard stools might cause further harm to the affected area and new fissures might develop which could aggravate the condition. Psyllium supplements help in greatly reducing pain and bleeding associated with haemorrhoids. However this could be largely due to the ease in bowel movement that is the immediate and most obvious effect of taking psyllium.  Take one capsule of 25 grams once a day with lots of water.

Always seek the advice of your doctor before taking herbal remedies
