Tylophora (Tylophora indica) is a climbing perennial plant indigenous to India, where it grows wild in the southern and eastern regions and has a long-standing reputation as a remedy for asthma. It has been used for the treatment of various respiratory problems including allergies, bronchitis and colds, as well as dysentery and oseteoarthritis pain. It is now an endangered species.
Tylophora – Herbal remedy for Hay Fever: The herb tylophora has been used by doctors in India for a long time to treat people who suffer from allergies including hay fever. The compounds contained within this plant are reported to interfere with the mast cells, the key components in the inflammation process which cause most of all hay fever symptoms. Recommended dosage is an infusion of 200-400 milligrams dried herb in one cup hot water daily for only one to two weeks.
