Vitamin B6, Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate remedy

Vitamin B6 is also called pyridoxine. Vitamin B6 helps form red blood cells and maintain brain function. This vitamin also plays an important role in the proteins that are part of many chemical reactions in the body. The more protein you eat the more pyridoxine your body requires.

Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate, or P5P as it is commonly known, is the active form of Vitamin B6. In foods or most supplements, Vitamin B6 is found in one of three forms: pyridoxine hydrochloride, pyridoxal, or pyridoxamine.

Vitamin B6 or Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate – Vitamins for Panic Disorder: Vitamin B6 intake is frequently low in pregnant women, children, the elderly and the ill. It is also depleted by birth control pills, alcohol, tobacco, some antibiotics, blood pressure medication and numerous other prescription drugs. Taking a supplement such as one tablet of 20 milligrams of active co-enzyme form of B6, pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P-5-P.) once a day is recommended.
