Bromelain

Administration Method: Solid preparations for oral use 8 - 10 days.
Possible Side Effects: Occasionally gastric disturbances or diarrhea.  Sometimes allergic reactions.

Bromelain - Herbal remedy for Back Pain: Bromelain (pineapple extract). It is a powerful anti-inflammatory (take 2-3 grams daily at first, then 1-2 grams as the pain eases). Use fresh or dried herb in a herbal tea.

Bromelain - Herbal remedy for Stroke: Bromelain is a digestive enzyme that is not only good for your digestive system but for breaking up blood clots in your body. Take 1,500 milligrams of bromelain three times a day between meals. You should start taking this natural remedy no sooner than one day after you have had a stroke.
Health Warning: Make sure you consult with your medical doctor before taking Bromelain and do not take it sooner than one day after you have had a stroke. You can take this natural remedy long after you have recovered but consult with your medical doctor on the dosage immediately after you have recovered from the stroke.

Bromelain – Herbal remedy for Sinusitis: Bromelain is a group of protein-digesting enzymes found in pineapple juice and in the stem of pineapple plants. It is primarily produced in Japan, Hawaii, and Taiwan.  Bromelain has an anti-inflammatory effect and is a very effective treatment for sinusitis. Take  200-400 milligrams three times a day on an empty stomach at least 90 minutes before and three minutes after eating. 
Health Warning:  Discontinue to use Bromelain if you develop any itching or rash.

Bromelain - Herbal remedy for Urethritis: Take 40 milligrams standardized extract 3 times daily for pain and inflammation.
Health Warning: Bromelain can increase the blood thinning effect of certain medications, including aspirin and Coumadin. Consult with your doctor before taking Bromelain.
