Dong Quai - Herbal remedy for Anaemia: Chinese angelica or dong quai is a herb that has been used for centuries in China. The root of this herb can be boiled in water and taken as a herbal tea.
Health Warning: A/ If you have an allergy to caraway, anise, carrots, celery, dill or parsley,  you could have a bad reaction to dong quai. This herb thins the blood and can increase your risk of bleeding. Some people who take it get rashes. Sensitivity to light may also occur.
B/ You should not take this herb if you are taking any prescription drugs

Dong Quai (Chinese Angelica) - Herbal remedy for Increased Female Fertility:  Dong quai is known for its ability to balance estrogen which makes it easier for the egg to be fertilized in the uterus. It is available in extract or teabags. Drink two cups daily for two weeks. Infuse one teabag in one cup of hot water for five minutes. Remove teabag and drink when cool.
Health Warning: While both red clover and dong quai improve fertility in women, they must be avoided during pregnancy to avoid harming the fetus.

Dong Quai - Herbal remedy for Increased Male Fertility: Dong quai is just as good for men as for women. For men, this herb improves the health and viability of sperm. Drink two cups daily for two weeks. Infuse one teabag in one cup of hot water for five minutes. Remove teabag and drink when cool.

Dong Quai - Herbal remedy for Fibromyalgia:  Dong quai is good for fleeting muscle and joint pains, especially if they are worse in damp conditions. Take one capsule daily. Though it is good for men as a remedy for other illnesses, in this case it is recommended for women only.

Don Quai - Herbal remedy for Infertility: Don quai helps maintain regular periods and supports estrogen levels. It is very common in women with irregular periods to have estrogen levels that fluctuate. High estrogen levels cause delayed ovulation. When estrogen levels drop sharply, spotting is the result, that is you bleed very lightly, even though it is not time for menstruation. Dong quai root can be made into a tea by infusing one tea bag in a cup of boiling water for 10 minutes. Drink two cups daily.

Dong Quai - Herbal remedy for Menopause: It is one of the most vital herbal cures for menopausal women. It helps in relieving hot flashes. This herb is not only rich in estrogen but it also has ingredients that help blood vessels. Don quai is commonly ground into a powder and made into capsule or tablet form. Dosages typically range from 1-5 grams up to three times per day.

Dong Quai - Herbal remedy for Vaginal Discharge: Dong quai can be used to relieve unnecessary vaginal discharge in some women. Dong quai is an aromatic herb that grows in China, Korea and Japan. Dong quai is considered a tonic for women. It can control female hormones. Dong quai is used as a treatment for a variety of gynaecological problems such as irregular periods, menstrual cramps, infertility and vaginal infection discharge. Dong quai can be taken orally by consuming powdered or dried root slices, fluid extracts, tinctures and dried leaf preparations. No specific dosing recommendations can be made because dong quai is used in a variety of herbal combinations and doses. Therefore read instructions on label when buying it from Chinese food stores or herbal stores.
